Moda Pier, originally designed by Vedat Tek between 1916 and 1917, was decommissioned in 1986. Over the years, it served various purposes until a restoration project was completed, allowing it to reopen to the public. The current proposal suggests its use as a book café and library, with the adjacent road connecting to Moda Street envisioned as a public space. The pier’s ground floor would accommodate a book café and study areas, while the first floor would house a library and additional study spaces. Photographs taken by Yiğit Akbıyık.
